Susannah Brough

Susannah Brough is an experienced mural artist who grew up in Oxfordshire and now lives in West Hampstead, London. She has over 10 years experience painting over 200 murals in London and the South East, Oxfordshire and the Midlands.

After working exclusively as a mural artist for many years, Susannah was thrilled to be approached by Dragons of Walton Street, a renowned interior design company for children, which specialises in hand-painted furniture. Susannah’s work for them now includes murals, bespoke commissions and the design and execution of a collection of hand-painted furniture for boys. Her work has been sold worldwide including to the USA, United Arab Emirates, Switzerland and Russia, where her collection of furniture for boys has proved particularly successful in Moscow.

More recently Susannah has been painting furniture for private clients. Her most popular commissions are bespoke boxes for children. Susannah collaborates closely with clients on each undertaking as she brings their ideas to life.

Susannah graduated from University College London with a degree in English Literature. She studied art and drawing at the Slade School of Fine Art on their Alternative Foundation Course. She likes to retain the connection with the fine art world through regular life classes and she exhibits her work at the annual Oxford Artweeks.

Susannah also loves teaching art and conducting workshops with children. She runs art classes for children under 5 years old at Sunshine Playgroup, South Hampstead, and has given numerous workshops for older children in local schools.

Over the years Susannah has expanded her artistic horizons with travel through India, China and Australia. She has painted murals throughout these visits in various locations including a dance studio in a school in Rajesthan and a hotel in Melbourne.

Susannah is an active liveryman of the Painter Stainers Company in The City of London and has exhibited her work in the Painters Hall.
