Based in Toulouse and Berlin, a&ré is a design studio dedicated to creating sensible objects in concrete.
Making use of the diversity in surfaces (incrustations, textures) as well as the association of materials (raw wood, scrap metal, glass), we experiment and imagine new ways to work with concrete. Our activities are distributed amongst a crafted production (small series and orders) and the designing of objects for edition, that are inspired by our work in the atelier. We also work on series of art installations, urban art and so on.
We use concrete for its rigid, architecture-like aspect that contrasts with the lightness we intend to bring to each of our pieces.
