Anjeli Cordice
Fine Artist
Artists' statement.
For many years I have been a Taiji practitioner. Taiji is a branch of Chinese martial arts and is practised slowly in meditation for health and well-being.
In my work I explore the images that happen during my practise of the Taiji form using movements and the energetic principals and concepts that underpin the form as a starting point to work from.
Background.
1990 - 1994 I studied Fine Art at the University of Hertfordshire and graduated in 1994 with a Honours degree in Fine Art. During 1986 - 1989 I did access courses in Art and Design at Kentish Town Adult Education Institute. I attended Middlesex Polytechnic between 1975 - 1978 where I completed a foundation course in art and design at the old Hornsey College of Art. I then went on to study a degree course in printed textile design (incomplete) during 1976 -1978 at Middlesex Polytechnic, Cat Hill, Cockfosters.
